The cafe/bar will be open for food and drinks and there are a number of eateries and other local amenities nearby. Please note The Pleasance operate a cashless bar – card transactions only. The Festival will accept cash and card payments for tickets and merchandise!
There is on street ticketed parking on the streets around the venue itself which is free in the evening and on Sunday mornings. There is also some parking available in the Pleasance courtyard itself but can fill up if there are other activities on during the day and evening. If you expect to be there for a while it would be worth looking at parking in the Holyrood Road or New Street Car Parking buildings as you only pay when you leave so no worry about feeding the ‘meter’ and it is generally cheaper than the on street parking too.
The venue is also within walking distance of bus routes and Waverley train station.
The venue also has disabled access to all the rooms (The Upper Hall and Pentland Room) Northern Streams Festival is taking place in though you may find it useful to know that the courtyard area is cobbled.
Also if you need to take the lift to the Upper Hall you need to go into the Bar area to access it – you may need to ask one of the bar staff to activate it for you as it is often kept closed to conserve power.
Tickets will be available on the door for all the events – you will need to come up to the ‘Box Office’ in the Upper Hall as we do not expect to have a presence in the office at the entrance area to the Pleasance. The Box Office will only be available an hour before any performance and the start of the workshops at 11am on the Saturday and we expect the seating area to be available half an hour before the performance starts. For the Sunday Session come to the Pentland Room directly.
